How we calculate your rate

The cost to deliver your parcel is dependant upon the the zone you are sending or delivering to. It is also dependant upon the size and weight of your parcel.

For example, it can be just as expensive for us to ship a set of house bricks as it is to send a piece of thin ply-wood that is 2 metres square. Therefore, once a parcel exceeds the dimensions 53cm x 53cm x53cm (or 53cm cubed) it is necessary to calculate shipping cost based on volumetric weight.

When you input the dimensions of your parcel the system automatically calculates the volumetric weight, and if this weight is larger than the actual parcel weight (often the case in large dimension shipments) then the shipping cost is adjusted accordingly. This is an industry standard calculation.
